Ann Margareth Licharew

professionally known as Nunu Jean, is an award-winning filmmaker, model, entrepreneur, and 2024 Fulbright recipient whose work bridges fashion, music, and documentary storytelling. Born in Orlando, Florida, she studied at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she first began modeling and making student docs, laying the foundation for her creative career.

Her documentary work includes Pieces of a Legacy, Hip-Hop’s Unknown Connection to College Radio, Aruanda, filmed in Salvador da Bahia, Brazil during her Fulbright grant year, and the Anthem Award–winning Isla da Fuerza, which features her co-produced film The Little War. Through these projects, Nunu highlights real-world people and their stories, dedicating to themes of culture and resilience.

Nunu is also the founder of NUNU FILMS LLC, a premiere documentary production company dedicated to end-to-end storytelling in hip-hop, r&b, and global Black culture.
